Gipsy Danger

Guess which movie I watched and loved recently? Pacific Rim was one of the coolest things I've seen since Iron Man 3, and I just had to have a go at drawing one of the Jaegers. My personal favourite was Striker Eureka, but you kind of have to start with the protagonist when embarking on a project like this.

I tried out a whole bunch of new things on this picture, which started out as a pencil sketch. Somehow, I managed to successfully draw a giant robot, which I then scanned into the computer, printed out again and then inked with a fine-liner. I then scanned that and used Photoshop (which seems to have finally decided to cooperate with me) to turn it into pure black lines. Printing that out, I then borrowed my little sister's marker pens for colouring purposes. I'm really pleased with the results, so I think I shall be doing this more often!
